West Chevington Farm is a brand-new development of sustainable and environmentally friendly built luxury homes, situated on a National Heritage listed Georgian-era Farm in Northumberland. The estate comprises 24 stunning and meticulously planned houses, all on generously sized plots, complimented by landscaped community spaces and car-friendly access. There is a total of 9 barns and 8 purpose built homes, which is Phase 1 recently completed in October 2022.

All of the homes have been designed to accommodate a garage, generously sized rooms, efficient underfloor heating and a mixture of luxury, contemporary and heritage finishes.

Contemporary in design, the properties comprise generous open-plan living areas range from 1,500 to 2,700 square footage, complete with skylights, sun-rooms, bi-fold doors, balconies, contemporary courtyards, water features and beautifully landscaped walkways.

To the rear of this plot, a further 8 newly built homes have been allocated to the rear, Phase 2 (b). The developer has also purchased an adjacent site with full planning for 4 properties, again designed as holiday homes, and in October 2022 has been offered yet another prime parcel of land adjoining the site for a further 3 large dwellings.

These properties will provide three generously sized bedrooms and comprise substantial open plan living areas, contemporary in design, with parking allocated, and the addition of hot tubs in the gardens to further enhance the staycation experience. Construction has commenced on the adjacent site in October 2022, with the upgrade and refurbishment of an existing property being the priority before the three new builds are developed along with the commercial unit. Again, the construction is expected to be complete in 6 months. Once the acquisition is finalised, planning will be submitted for Phase 3 which is the extension and refurbishment of the existing property and two new build homes.

At Northumberland Living, we are committed to sustainable living and zero wastage. That means every stage of our planning and build is undertaken with local environment in mind.

Our materials are locally sourced and sustainable. This includes local oak wood, re-purposing broken rubble from West Chevington’s original site to use in roads and floors, and filtering age-old farm soil for plot gardens.

Our team has taken great lengths to minimise disruption to the local wildlife and environment during the construction of West Chevington Farm.

Working with a local Ecologist, we have protected and homed a family of barn owls within the estate, alongside measures to minimise the impact on their living environment.

The site has had several studies undertaken, before and during development, in conjunction with the local council and environmental experts so you can enjoy the wonder of living amongst spectacular wildlife.
